About Sonic Conscious

Sonic Conscious is a recording studio in Denver, CO, owned and operated by Jason Wagner. Designed by Sam Berkow of SIA Acoustics.

The studio features a 480 sq ft live room with sloping ceilings from 17’ to 15’ designed with no parallel surfaces. The control room is 220 sq ft and has sloping ceiling from 10’ to 12’. There is a 50 sq ft vestibule between the control and live room.

A hybrid recording studio combining the best of the analog and digital worlds. 64 analog I/O via Apogee Symphony converters and 34 channels of class A preamps allows for any configuration of recording set ups.

High quality microphones like Josephson C725 and Soyuz 017 and choice selection of analog outboard, accurate monitoring.

Protools HDX with a Furman 16-channel analog headphone distribution system allows artists to dial in the exact mix they want at undetectable, near zero latency. All computer components are AVID approved for rock solid performance.

The live room sounds amazing and accommodates a full band performance recording or any sort of over-dubbing approach.

Owned and operated by Jason Wagner, Sonic Conscious Studio is the fourth incarnation and the first purpose-built facility. Jason has spent over 20 years honing his skills as a recording and mix engineer. As a musician himself, Jason understands the frustrations and challenges artists face, and he has meticulously crafted a space where musicians can feel both comfortable and confident.

Yes, Jason Wagner, our owner and experienced recording/mix engineer, is available to assist with your session. His expertise ensures a smooth and professional recording experience.

Can I bring my own engineer or producer?

Absolutely! We welcome outside engineers and producers. Jason will ensure they are comfortable with the studio’s equipment and will be present to fill any additional roles required.

What equipment is available at the studio?

The studio is a Pro Tools HDX system, using Apogee I/O conversion and Mac Studio. All equipment is AVID certified for rock solid performance.
